I'm a scientist in the Department of Earth Sciences, at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA. My main research interests are focussed on interactions between microorganisms and their environment, including in some of the most remote and extreme environments on Earth such as Antarctica, the Arctic, and the deep ocean. I am also interested in the effect of global climate change in these regions.
I am currently working as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Earth Sciences at USC, funded by fellowships from C-DEBI and DCO, as well as at the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences as a Humboldt Fellow. I have a background in physical geography (PhD and BSc, University of Bristol).
